Southside Strong 
Southside Strong is a community action group determined to give a voice to the residents of the southside and rebuild our community together one relationship at a time.

History:
The concept of Southside Strong has been in Peoria for years and was a successful effort that was organized and ran by local community members and organizations. The Southside Community Center is dedicated to the residents of the southside, we are committed to bringing back Southside Strong.

What are we doing?
We are currently meeting on the first and third Saturday of every month to build our Love Where You Live team to bring back the days of community and to talk about ways to improve our neighborhoods and build fellowship between neighbors.

Long term goal:
One of our main long term goals would be to help facilitate neighborhood residents in forming neighborhood associations.

Neighborhood Association? Why would I want a neighborhood association?
A neighborhood association is a group of people that live in the neighborhood that come together to improve, strengthen and rebuild our blocks. We want to bring back a sense of pride for the block we live on. Help us by reclaiming your block, and committing to loving where you live, one block at a time.
